Job Title: Trust Support Worker

Location: Dacorum Community Trust, The Forum, Hemel Hempstead.

Reports to: The Manager

Standard Work Hours: Tuesdays and Wednesdays 10am to 4pm, Fridays 11am to 2pm.

Purpose of Position: To support applicants through the interview and assessment process

Key Accountabilities:

ยท Interview clients in person or on the phone

ยท Identify and recommend plans of support for clients

ยท Participate in team discussions about client support and relevant actions

ยท Complete all associated paperwork and update client databases

ยท Follow a clean desk policy (e.g. securing confidential information)

ยท Liaise with external agencies as part of client applications (e.g. Dacorum Borough Council, Social Services, Citizens Advice Service, South Hill Centre)

ยท Assist the Trust manager with delegated tasks

ยท Oversee the office during working hours as required

ยท Deal with enquiries in person, answer the office phone and respond to email queries

ยท Attend weekly team meetings

ยท Meetings with external agencies

ยท Represent the Trust at key community networking and fundraising events

ยท Support volunteers within our Trust

ยท Excellent listening skills

ยท The ability to work independently and as part of a team

ยท An empathetic and open-minded approach when dealing with applicants

ยท A willingness to problem solve

ยท Strong verbal & written communication skills

ยท Resilience – able to work under pressure and deal with applicants who are upset or anxious

ยท Be self-driven & pro-active

Competencies:

ยท Respond to client enquires in a timely manner

ยท A high level of accuracy and attention to detail

ยท Fast and accurate data entry skills

ยท Competent report writer

ยท Excellent phone manner

ยท Be a self-starter who shows initiative

Qualifications & experience:

ยท Office IT skills (e.g. Microsoft office and Excel)

ยท Working knowledge of social media platforms

Key Performance Indicators & Conduct Requirements:

ยท High professional standard of client service, ascertained through feedback from clients and partner agencies

ยท Display a ‘can-do’ attitude when assisting clients

ยท Maintain client confidentiality

Additional Information:

ยท In this role when the manager is away or on leave you will be expected to assume responsibility for the daily office duties

ยท There may be opportunities to work remotely when undertaking specific IT duties

ยท Complete mandatory training as required
