Reporting to:                        Head of Wellbeing

Job Purpose: To engage with the Afro-Caribbean male community in the relevant PCN area to increase take up of checks for prostate cancer.

• Create project plan to increase number of Afro Caribbean engaging with discussions about prostate cancer and increase the number getting tested with GPs in the Delt PCN area
• Establish connections with relevant community organisations to engage with the Afro Caribbean community to reduce stigma around health checks related to prostate cancer.
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with P surgeries in the Delta PCN area.
• Establish and maintain good relationships with community groups serving the communities of the Delta PCN area including but not limited to Sports Clubs etc.
• Arrange and facilitate engagement events to raise awareness about prostate cancer within the Afro Caribbean community in the Delta PCN area.
• Link with other relevant campaigns to raise awareness (for example Movember)
• Demonstrate and evaluate the impact and success of the project.
