Herts Interpreting and Translation Service

BACKGROUND:

Herts Interpreting and Translation Service (HITS) is a major provider of interpreting and translation services to local authorities and the NHS in the home counties and East of England. Due to increased workload, HITS wish to recruit a highly-motivated and skilled individual with a proven experience in finance and data processing, to become a member of its Finance team at its offices in Hemel Hempstead.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Payment processing of Assignment forms
  • Monthly Activity Reports and Invoices
  • Liaising with customers and interpreters
  • Answering queries from Customers and interpreters
  • Creating self-employed/Payroll interpreter’s payment reports
  • Reconciliation and Booking reports
  • Credit Control
  • Provide support to Manager with Management Reporting
  • Other general financial/office tasks as and when required

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

The successful candidate will be able to evidence the following:

  • Computer literate – competent in the use of Microsoft Office, internet and e-mails
  • Well organised, flexible and efficient
  • Ability to work additional hours as and when required
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent IT Skills (including experience of working with databases and email systems)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent telephone manner

  • Faultless attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
