Caseworker
This role is a job share, 3 days a week, Wednesday to Friday 9.00am to 4.00pm based at our offices in Gadebridge, Hemel Hempstead.
The caseworker is the first point of contact at Mediation Hertfordshire and you will be responding by telephone and email to enquiries from clients, referrers, volunteer mediators and those with general enquiries.
You will receive case referrals, set up appointments, allocate cases to mediators and administer the progress of mediation cases using a bespoke database.
The right person for this role will be highly organised, a good communicator and listener, able to empathise with clients in a variety of dispute scenarios (community, family and workplace) and be able to signpost clients where our services cannot help.
The caseworker will be required to always remain impartial, ensuring that all clients are treated equally and with respect. Confidentiality must always be maintained.
Previous experience of casework is essential and experience of working in the voluntary sector is desirable. A full driving licence is essential.
You will be required to attend quarterly board meetings, of which two will take place outside of working hours on a weekday evening.
This role reports to our General Manager and the successful candidate will work closely with the team to deliver good practice for the service.
The role is advertised to commence as soon as possible and full paid training will be provided.
The salary based on a 21 hour 3 day week is £15,856.
