SPACE Hertfordshire

SPACE is a Hertfordshire based charity supporting families with neurodiverse children and young people; those who are Autistic and/or have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or related conditions.



We are looking for someone to provide professional, efficient and effective administrative support to the charity. This will include administration and systems maintenance of the Lending SPACE Library and supporting the Lending SPACE staff and volunteers. The right candidate will be able to work flexibly as required by the needs of the Charity.


About You

  • Strong at planning, organising and prioritising.
  • Proficient and experienced user of Microsoft and Google office programmes is essential, as well as willingness to learn new software.
  • Proactive with ability to work independently as well as contribute to the team.
  • Good knowledge of special educational needs and disabilities.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • To provide professional, efficient and effective administrative support to the charity, ensuring efficient and effective running of the Lending SPACE Library.
  • Liaise with the charity manager and finance and operations manager as required.
  • Liaise with Lending SPACE staff and volunteers to manage staff rotas.
  • Be responsible for asset management and purchasing equipment and consumables for the Lending SPACE Library.
  • Manage data and systems and create monitoring and feedback reports.
  • Be responsible for the smooth running of the Lending SPACE Library, dealing with enquiries by telephone, email and post, and maintaining filing systems (both electronic and hard copy).
  • Assist with keeping contact databases and records up to date, including forwarding any data protection queries to the relevant team.
  • Liaise with service users providing support.
  • Diary management for the use of Lending SPACE.
  • Other duties relevant to the role.
