Job Title: Head of Wellbeing

Reporting to: Deputy Chief Executive Officer
Responsible for: Between 6 and 8 members of staff (direct line management of 3)
Wellbeing Volunteers across the organisation
Job Purpose: To lead, champion and develop the Community Action Dacorum Wellbeing services.
Key Responsibilities:
- To be the champion of all Wellbeing services across the organisation internally and externally.
- To act as the secretariat of the Wellbeing Subcommittee. (Calling meetings, setting agendas with the chair, producing and circulating minutes)
- To collate data on our Wellbeing services and report on progress.
- To maintain ongoing and positive relationships with funders of our Wellbeing services.
- To identify, consider, plan and develop opportunities to expand Wellbeing services to meet identified need in the local
- To oversee the Community Transport Service and line manage the Community Transport Lead Officer
- To oversee the ShopMobility Service and line manage the ShopMobility Manager.
- To oversee our Wellbeing Groups Services and line manage the Wellbeing Groups Manager
- To create and work to fund new Wellbeing services that are responsive to the needs of residents.
- To work in partnership with other Head’s of to ensure a joined up response to the three areas of Community | Employability | Wellbeing.
- Develop and monitor the business plan for the service including making informed decisions about the pricing structure and advise clients, client groups and organisations accordingly.
- Keep abreast of national policy and developments in the sector that may impact upon the delivery of our Wellbeing services.
- Deal with compliments and complaints from external actors.
- Manage the departmental budget, including setting and monitoring expenditure and authorising purchases within delegated authority limits.
