Resolve is a local registered charity providing drug & alcohol support services, supported sheltered homeless accommodation and support to homeless individuals as part of the Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council’s Housing First approach to tackling homelessness.

The charity is currently seeking a finance officer with drive, motivation and commitment to join the Resolve Team, working closely with the Treasurer and CEO to deliver on Resolve’s financial strategy.

The role will include managing all day-to-day financial activities, payroll and management reporting for the CEO and Treasurer.  The role will also include preparation of information for the board including KPIs.

Due to the nature of the role, we are looking for individuals with a finance qualification (such as AAT) or demonstrable experience.

In order to be successful candidates will have strong accounting knowledge (ideally some experience in Charity SORP) and can demonstrate competence, diligence and trustworthiness.  It is also important they have excellent IT and communication skills, and experience of financial processes and systems (including Quickbooks).

Initial training will be office based, however following completion of their probation period the individual will be able to work from home with trips to all Resolve sites as required.

Resolve provides training for personal and professional development and will embrace candidates who demonstrate an understanding of the needs of vulnerable people, homelessness and addiction. Successful candidates will be person centred, a team player, a “self-starter”, able to work as part of a Team and on your own initiative.

Excellent Terms & Conditions. 28 Days, Plus Bank Holidays FTE Paid Holiday. Full details will be provided in the application pack.
