Home-Start Hertfordshire

Purpose of the job

  • To work alongside Strategic Manager as part of the Strategic team to plan and help deliver community & fundraising events & campaigns.
  • To provide efficient administrative support to Home-Start Hertfordshire.

Main Responsibilities

  • To work closely with the Strategic Manager to assist with the development and implementation of the fundraising strategy.
  • To take the lead on creating and delivering action plans for a variety of fundraising activities, events & campaigns.
  • Handle initial service user and fundraising enquiries into the organisation.
  • Attend meetings with Strategic Manager and team to review progress and planning.
  • Undertake event related admin tasks including ticketing systems, online promotion & organisation of marketing materials.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with vendors, venues, sponsors and media.
  • General office duties including report writing and database management.
  • Maintaining good communication with all scheme stakeholders, ensuring good practice in equality, diversity and fairness.
  • Ensure consistency of corporate branding in all areas.
  • Prepare newsletters & work closely with the Media Marketing Officer and wider team to put together publicity material via social media and the website.
  • Play an integral part in contributing towards collating information and processing small grant applications.
  • Working with all members of the team to ensure good safeguarding practice in all aspects of the scheme’s work.
  • Complying with all Home-Start policies and procedures.

The successful candidate may have transferable skills. On the job training will be provided. The post holder may be required to undertake any other duties that fall within the nature of the role and responsibilities of the
post as detailed above.
The post will require the person to have a full driving licence and have flexibility to cover occasional weekend
