Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning and implementation of a range of volunteer projects,
Seeking and securing external funding from public and corporate organisations.
- in order that those projects are effectively delivered and sustainable.
- Manage the logistics and delivery of activities, including telephone liaison with volunteers, staff and end users as required.
- The identification and proactive development of new volunteering opportunities in conjunction with internal colleagues and voluntary and community sectors.
- Ensuring that all projects are predicated on accurate and viable costings and that an effective reporting system is implemented.
- Drive volunteer recruitment, including the identification of volunteer leaders, to support existing and future projects
- Assist in the development and introduction of new technologies as appropriate e.g., database and website tools
Other Duties
- Promote a positive public image of Welwyn Hatfield CVS, representing the organisation at events and meetings across the county increasing both professional and public awareness of its work.
- Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with our local partners to ensure a cohesive approach to service delivery.
- Create a welcoming and supportive environment with a culture of trust so that end users have the confidence to access the services.
- Work as part of Welwyn Hatfield CVS team in a professional manner in accordance with policies, procedures and equal opportunity practices.
