Celtic Harmony

We are looking to recruit a passionate and solution focussed Community Engagement Manager as part of our new Lavina’s Legacy Skills of the Past for the Future program, to promote volunteer and community engagement.

As a Community Engagement Manager, you will have expertise in working with partners to raise the profile of Celtic Harmony Camp and reach new volunteer audiences and develop new opportunities. You will have line management duties and will be responsible for representing Celtic Harmony with a variety of organisations and in a range of community settings. You will develop Lavina’s Legacy and be confident in building relationships with external organisations, Celtic Harmony directors and other senior team members in order to successfully recruit and retain conservation volunteers and education trainees. You will supervise the development of volunteers including induction, training, monitoring and oversee mentoring, impact measurement and project budget. The Heritage Ranger will report to you and will assist with the day-to-day coordination of volunteer activity and mentoring.

We’re looking for an individual who is self-motivated and a good problem solver with solution focussed approach, experience in volunteer project management and working in the third sector, with excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire others.

Celtic Harmony has 25 years’ experience, providing formal and informal education opportunities to work with natural materials in a Prehistory settlement located in native woodland. The charity aims to improve the well-being of children, young people and adults through an emotive experience, creating a more sustainable future in harmony with the natural world. Celtic Harmony holds the Learning Outside the Classroom Badge for the high quality of outdoor education and is the UK School Trips 2023 Education Team of the Year.

Please note, we’re actively reviewing applications and interviews will be held on a rolling basis. The ad may close early if a successful candidate is found.

The Lavina’s Legacy project has been made possible thanks to National Lottery players.
