Communications and Marketing Officer
Viewpoint Mental Health
The Digital Communication and Marketing Officer will develop strong and innovative digital marketing strategies, using SEO, PPC, and other techniques to drive traffic to Viewpoints web pages, with the aim to promote the services offered to people with mental health and/or addiction challenges. They will be responsible to create engaging written, graphic, and video content while staying up-to-date on latest marketing technologies and social media.
Location: A mixture of home working and office work in Welwyn Garden City
Hours/salary: 22 hours per week – annual salary £16,016
Length of contract: 12 months fixed term contract
Pension: Following a three-month period of employment, Viewpoint will contribute a sum equal to 5% of your annual salary to a pension provided that you contribute at least 3% of your annual salary to the pension scheme.
Annual leave: Annual leave will commence following six months probationary period and will rise to 25 days plus 8 Bank holidays – Pro Rota.

About Viewpoint
Viewpoint develops innovative ways that support people with a lived experience of mental health issues and/or addiction challenges—working with 1000 experts by experience, putting them at the centre of all everything we do. We support people to be independent, have their say and influence change to services. Working across the whole of Hertfordshire.
Our support is flexible and needs-led, delivered by outreach group-based activity, one to one or remotely. Staff or members who have a lived experience facilitate our programmes. We offer educational sessions that enhance wellbeing and equip individuals with the skills and self-belief to aid their recovery personal journey.

Main duties and responsibilities
- Develop and implement SEO and PPC strategies;
- Create and manage link building strategies, content marketing strategies, and social media presences.
- Develop engaging online content monitor and analyse content success.
- Forecast marketing campaign growth and return of investment for marketing campaigns.
- Manage email and social media marketing campaigns.
- Use Google Analytics, Google AdWords, and other relevant sites’
- Drive traffic to Viewpoints webpages.
- Develop and manage projects, including working in partnership with people with meatal health challenges, ensuring they are involved in co-production and any co-delivery of campaigns. This includes delegating tasks, reviewing work, adhering closely to deadlines, developing and revising ideas, and implementing projects.
- Keep abreast of new social media sites, web technologies, and digital marketing trends; implement these new technologies in developing campaigns and update current campaigns to include new information.
- Manage the organisations webpage and digital media presence producing, editing and maintaining content as required.
- Create Viewpoint’s weekly bulletin which is sent out each Friday via Mailchimp.
Working as a team
- To work together with the experts by experience to co-produce and co-deliver campaigns.
- To report any untoward incidents or unusual occurrences through management lines.
- To attend the appropriate team and development meetings.
- To attend supervision.
Communication
- To help people to access information on health promotion, mental and physical wellbeing.
Design & Content
- Create, develop and produce a variety of multimedia content has necessary to promote the organisation.
- Work with third party providers for events and other projects, editing and enhancing content as required.
- Proactively maintain and update the website including preparing and publishing new written, visual and audio content.
- Design and produce the organisations quarterly member newsletter, working with the people with a lived experience to develop content.
- Design and produce promotional materials to support activities and events including e-marketing campaigns, leaflets, posters and programmes for events, using digital channels and innovative promotional means.
