Batchworth Community Council

The role comprises assisting the Clerk with the running of the Community Council, and the job description includes:

-responsibility for organising the running of the monthly market: stewards, pitches etc

-extensive use of digital marketing and social media to promote Council activities

-uploading documents to the Council’s website

-answering the office phone and handling queries

-gathering information for Council meetings

-researching information and costings for Council projects

-facilitating Council Planning Meetings

-involvement in the organisation of the Council’s community projects and events

-reconciling bank statements

-entering payment details onto an electronic accounting system

-some minute taking.

Person Specification:

-Proficient IT ability with demonstrable experience of digital marketing and social media

-Clear written and verbal communication skills

-A good sense of numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail

-Ability to multitask and prioritise workload

-A willingness to learn.

Full training will be given.
